Eau Claire (WQOW) - Some of the Chippewa Valley's cutest couldn't wait until midnight to ring in the new year.
Instead, they celebrated 12 hours early.
The Children's Museum of Eau Claire had its 'Noon' Year's Eve celebration where families counted down the seconds to noon instead of midnight.
Kids decorated balloons and noise makers, played with confetti and just had fun celebrating the upcoming year.
Museum officials told News 18 this is a great way families can celebrate a big event together and they also love seeing the kids' enthusiasm.
"It is very loud and just the excitement level is unimaginable. My first "noon year's" I had no idea how loud it was going to be and it's just fun to see everyone so excited," said Lauren Yaeger, guest services manager at the children's museum.
More fun will have to wait until at least Thursday. The children's museum is closed New Year's Day.
