Holiday Parades Forecast 2018

It was a chilly start to Friday morning as a northwest breeze carried colder temperatures into the Chippewa Valley. With a mix of sunshine and cloud cover, temperatures will slowly decrease before stalling out in the 20's Friday afternoon.

If you're heading to the Clear Water Winter Parade in Eau Claire Friday night, temperatures will be in the teens and wind chills will get into the single digits at times, so bundle up.

If you're attending the Bridge to Wonderland parade Saturday in Chippewa Falls, temperatures will be closer to 30 degrees with wind chills in the 20's.

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds Friday through Saturday before a passing shortwave moves northeast Sunday and brings in more cloud cover. High temperatures will be in the upper 30's both Saturday and Sunday, but that won't last long.

A clipper low will move into the upper Midwest Monday and produce light snowfall. A few inches of accumulation is expected and snowfall totals will become clear over the weekend. Minor travel issues are expected at this time, it's what moves in after that is he main concern.

Bitter arctic air filters in behind that system consistently dropping temperatures Monday and holding them into the single digits for Tuesday. We have the potential to stay below zero over a 24 hour period of time Tuesday night into Wednesday and wind chills could get dangerously low.
