Man behind largest drug bust in Dunn County history reaches plea deal

Dunn County (WQOW) – The suspect in the largest meth bust in Dunn County history has agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors.

Joseph Lachance faced a plethora of drug-related charges in the case.

In September, law enforcement said they found $10,000 in cash and nearly 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $20,000. Two guns were also recovered including one that was reported stolen.

Monday in Dunn County Court, Lachance pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute amphetamines and THC. The rest of the charges were read in and dismissed.

Based on the charges, Lachance faces more than 45 years in prison at his sentencing in February.
