LAST CHANCE: 180 kids still need sponsor for Christmas is for Children

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Black Friday is over and Cyber Monday is in full swing meaning you are probably in Christmas shopping mode. While you buy gifts for friends and family, it is important to remember there are kids right here in the Chippewa Valley who may go without presents this year.

As of Monday, 180 kids still need to be sponsored through iHeartMedia’s Christmas is for Children.

For just $35 you can sponsor a child and guarantee they will have something under the tree this Christmas.

This year, Christmas is for Children director Chelsea Anibas said there are 1,149 children signed up for the program. That’s the second-highest total ever and about 100 more than average.

If you do want to sponsor a child you need to act fast. The deadline to drop off gifts is this Friday, December 6.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a family, send an email to

WQOW is a proud sponsor of the program.
