Police looking for suspects in Black River Falls armed robbery

Black River Falls (WQOW) — Police are looking for two men accused of stealing money and merchandise from a store in Black River Falls.

According to Chief Jeremy Insensee, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. this past Thursday at the Corner Store.

An employee said she was confronted by two men when she was taking out the garbage at closing time. One of the suspects allegedly referenced a weapon but did not show it.

The employee said the men took the keys to the business and forced her to sit in her car with one of the suspects sitting in the back seat. After a short time, the employee said the second suspect exited the store and got into her car. They then ordered her to drive a few blocks, where they got out and ran away.

The owner of the Corner Store said money and merchandise were taken in the robbery.

The suspects are described as black men in their late 20s. Both were roughly six feet tall and wearing dark clothing at the time.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Black River Falls Police Department at (715) 284-9155.
