11/04: Interview – 17th Annual Caregiver Town Hall and Resource Fair

The Chippewa Valley Family Caregiving Alliance holds an annual town hall every year, in an effort to give local caregivers the opportunity to learn new things.

“The goal of this year’s Town Hall Meeting is to give our community caregivers a magical night to learn, laugh and connect,” explained Katie Fennell, Publicity Chair of the Chippewa Valley Family Caregiving Alliance. “Whether you pick up grandma’s groceries or help your spouse brush their teeth, you are a caregiver and we want to thank you for your time and efforts.”

This year’s event, A Caregivers’ Magical Night Out, will feature a delicious dinner, breakout sessions, and access to community resource booths. Breakout sessions will include, Hand Massage for Healing and Relaxation by Der-Fa Lu, RN PhD CHTP/I, Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire School of Nursing and Building Personal Resilience by Cindy Swing, Staff Educator for Marshfield Clinic Health System. Community Resource Booths and a delicious meal will be provided followed by a comedic, magic show by Magician David Dunn.
