Elk Mound bar raises money for tornado victims

Elk Mound (WQOW) –  It has been over a week now since an EF-3 tornado touched down in Chippewa County, but despite the time that has passed, the community is still rallying to support those affected.

The Pourhouse Bar and Grill in Elk Mound held a fundraiser where one hundred percent of the proceeds went toward storm victims in need of financial assistance.

Nearby businesses offered silent auction prizes and food to bring in extra donations.

The Pourhouse’s head bartender, Shan Olson, said she was so glad to see everyone come together after seeing loved ones hit with tragedy.

“I drive by there everyday on my way to work, and I have friends that were personally affected,” Olson said. “I just want to say thank you to everybody who came out, gave their time, talent and effort to help them out.”

D&D Safe Ride also provided a free shuttle service so anyone who wanted to donate could get home safe.
