Polk County (WQOW) – A crash Monday afternoon claimed a life.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle was traveling on Highway 65 near Amery when it went onto the shoulder. The driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to go into the ditch and roll.
Deputies said the driver, who didn’t seem to be wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and died. Their name has not yet been released.
This is the fourth crash death in Polk County in just the last two weeks.
