International Fall Festival celebrates diversity in Eau Claire

Eau Claire (WQOW) –  Eau Caire celebrated the city’s diversity on Saturday at the 31st International Fall Festival.

Thousands came to downtown Eau Claire to experience food, art and style from several different countries, with everything from Greek gyros to Irish step dancing.

Organizers said that it’s important to acknowledge and learn from all the different cultures that make up the community.

“Year after year, we want to keep adding some more diversity to our acts and to our food vendors and to the vendors that we have,” said Dustin Olson, communications coordinator for Downtown Eau Claire. “It’s a way for us to show that we celebrate that and that we’re a better community because of it.”

Olson says that he is already looking forward to next year’s event.
