Menomonie man busted with 35 pounds of pot sentenced to jail

Dunn County (WQOW) – A Menomonie man who was charged after police found 35 pounds of marijuana in his home was sentenced Friday.

According to the complaint, a confidential informant bought $600 worth of pot from Pong Vang in April 2017.

Police said a search of his home uncovered large amounts of vacuum-sealed marijuana.

Friday, Judge Rod Smeltzer sentenced Vang to two years in jail followed by three years of extended supervision.

His license was also revoked for a year and he is ordered to maintain absolute sobriety.
