Hubbard Scientific closing in Chippewa Falls

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) – A company known for making educational products for K-12 schools is closing its doors for good.

According to John King, a manager with the Chippewa Falls company, 23 employees at Hubbard Scientific will lose their jobs. They were notified on Wednesday morning.

King said the parent company, Nasco, made the decision to close the division.

The Department of Workforce Development has been notified and will be providing assistance.

The company is offering severance to employees with benefits based on years of service, according to King.

The last day of business will be October 31.
