There’s another humid and unsettled day ahead. We haven’t seen much sunshine over the past few days and that trend will continue today with mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through in multiple waves today and will be likely from this afternoon through this evening.
The risk for severe weather is marginal today, but can’t be ruled out with any passing showers and thunderstorms. If a storm does turn severe, there is the possibility of large hail and strong winds, but there is enough spin in the atmosphere that we can’t rule out the risk of a brief spin-up tornado.
High temperatures today will get into the mid to upper 70s across the Chippewa Valley today. Dew points still sit in the mid 60s this morning and the humidity isn’t going to budge until tomorrow when more refreshing air moves in.
There is a slight chance of a shower through tomorrow morning, but weather will quickly improve to start the day Wednesday. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s and much less humidity.
Humidity will slowly creep back up at the end of this week as temperatures rise into the upper 70s and low 80s. Storm chances return on Friday and will stick around through the weekend.
