Jordy Nelson retires as a Packer

Green Bay (WQOW) – A Packers fan favorite made it official on Tuesday morning and retired as a Green Bay Packer.

Jordy Nelson played 9 seasons in Green Bay before finishing his career in Oakland last season.

During a press conference on Tuesday morning, Nelson said playing in, and winning, the Super Bowl was his favorite memory in a Packers uniform.

The 2nd round draft pick finished up his career with 613 catches and 72 touchdowns.

Nelson explained Green Bay was the perfect city for him and his family.

“It’s hard to explain. It’s still weird sometimes we will go places and get recognized and wonder why or how,” Nelson said.
