Eau Claire (WQOW) – Feed My People’s distribution center on Alpine Road is expanding and they’re not far from nearly tripling their storage space.
The $3 million project started in mid-March. It will allow Feed My People to store more food and triple their refrigerated food storage which will allow Feed My People to offer more fresh produce and meats.
“It’s about fresh food, it’s about fresh produce, dairy, fruits and vegetables and that’s why we’re tripling our cooler space, to be able to distribute more,” said Suzanne Becker, assistant director of Feed My People. “We’re going to be able to have a lot more specific programming for seniors, for children and for families who are struggling. All of that will be possible with this building.”
Feed My People expects the expansion will be done by September, but Becker wanted to make sure to say Feed My People has not missed a beat during the construction process.
