UW-Stout alumna killed in rock climbing fall

(WQOW) – A UW-Stout alumna has died after falling at a Minnesota state park.

According to a CaringBridge page, Rebecca Nara was rock climbing at Gooseberry State Park on Saturday when she fell.

The page said bystanders rushed to help and she was airlifted to a Duluth hospital with a serious brain injury.

Her family said in a post she died Wednesday.

They seem to take solace in the fact she was an organ donor and her donations can help as many as 40 people.

Funeral arrangements have not been posted.
