How you can donate school supplies to Eau Claire students

Eau Claire (WQOW) – While summer camps are still going strong, soon students will be headed back to school, and a senior living facility wants to make sure students have the supplies they need.

Starting Monday through mid-August, Heritage Senior Living in connection with Student Transit and the Eau Claire School District are working to fill a bus with donated school supplies that will be handed out to students in need in our area.

“We wanted to give back to our community and share the love to our students in Eau Claire and give them some new school supplies for the upcoming year,” said Cherylin Yealey, director of community relations for Heritage Senior Living.

All the supplies will go to the district, which will then distribute them to the students.

Anyone who drops off any items will receive a coupon for a free lunch at Heritage.

If you’d like to donate, you can drop off items at Heritage Senior Living during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at 3706 Damon Street in Eau Claire.

For more information, you are asked to call them at 715-831-9118.
