CORRECTION: Eau Claire man gets probation for selling meth to informant

On Thursday News 18 incorrectly reported Kirk Stassel was sentenced to nine years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.

Court records show Stassel was sentenced to six years of probation.

Eau Claire County (WQOW) – An Eau Claire man will serve time behind bars thanks to a buy from the West Central Drug Task Force.

According to police, Kirk Stassel sold meth to a confidential informant on three separate occasions.

Police found money, drugs and numerous weapons in his home.

Last month, he pleaded no contest to five of the charges against him including meth delivery and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Thursday, Judge Emily Long sentenced Stassel to nine years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
