06/26: Interview – 20th Annual Water Street Mile

It’s the 20th annual Water Street Mile and 5K. It’s all to benefit the L.E. Phillips Senior Center.

The L.E. Phillips Senior Center is a private, non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1982. It’s purpose is to meet the needs of adults age 50 and over by offering educational, social, recreational, health and wellness, and volunteer activities to its members and non-members alike. Organizational goals include opportunities for older adults to continue to develop and grow as community members, access sources of information for assistance in their personal lives, fulfill their interests and use their talents, learn from individuals with similar life experience, and interact with peers and other generations.

Registration for the Water Street Mile starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday July 13. The 1 mile starts at 8:30 a.m and the 5K starts at 9 a.m.
