Chippewa Falls (WQOW)- Next month at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, you’ll be able to honor the Girl Scouts who lost their lives in that sad crash last November.
For every ticket sold Friday and Saturday for the grand stand concerts, Northwestern Bank is donating $5 and the fair is donating $1, in memory of the Girl Scouts.
All the money will go to the Community Foundation of Chippewa County to support local nonprofits.
Fair Executive Director Rusty Volk said the bank will donate up to $25,000.
Volk said this is their way of showing support for the families who lost loved ones, and the community that will never forget them.
“It was a shock to everybody, Volk said.” “Everybody had a relative, knew someone involved with it all over Chippewa Falls, our whole region here quite frankly, and it’s always good to remember no matter what it is so this is one way to keep that memorial alive for those that have gone as well as to provide some funding.”
The acts in the grand stadium include Big & Rich and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Tickets are $20.
