Eau Claire (WQOW) – Eau Claire is home to the second largest walking sculpture tour in the country and this year’s pieces are now installed.
The 2019 tour features more than 50 sculptures scattered around downtown Eau Claire.
Most of them are new but three were brought back from last year after being voted people’s choice favorites.
The pieces are crafted by artists from all over the country.
“Purpose of the sculpture tour is free public art. It is to make art accessible with no boundaries, no barriers, no limitations. It’s free to the public, 24/7 for 11 months out of the year. So, the real purpose of it is to just make art available,” said Sculpture Tour Eau Claire Executive Director, Julie Pangallo.
The tour is funded by sponsors and donations.
