Probation for man who pleaded no contest in child enticement case

Eau Claire County (WQOW) – A plea deal has been reached for the Boyceville man who arranged to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex in Eau Claire.

Brandon Bien faced three felony charges tied to the incident. According to the criminal complaint, Bien responded to a Craigslist ad posted by an undercover officer. He was arrested at the arranged meeting place with lingerie and condoms.

Wednesday, Bien pleaded no contest to a count of child enticement in exchange for the other charges being dismissed.

Judge Michael Schumacher sentenced him to four years of probation and either 30 days in jail or 240 hours of community service. He must also register as a sex offender for 15 years after his probation ends.
