Wisconsin Department of Tourism grant helps promote largest outdoor game show coming to Chippewa Falls

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) – A event is coming to the Chippewa Valley and it’s billed as a sportsman’s paradise.

Organizers said Wisconsin Game Fest will be the largest outdoors sports and recreation show in the state. The first-ever event will include family-friendly outdoors exhibits and demonstrations that any hunter, fisher or outdoors lover can enjoy.

The Wisconsin Department of Tourism granted more than $31,000 to the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce to promote the new festival. Jackie Boos, Tourism Director for Go Chippewa Falls, said the money will go into marketing across the Midwest to attract more tourists.

“We knew that this would be a great event for the Chippewa Falls and Chippewa Valley area, but also to be able to push that out into Iowa, Chicago-land market as well to bring people north and to experience what we really have here. There’s a lot of recreational and outdoor sports available,” Boos said.

Wisconsin Game Fest will be held September 7th and 8th at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. You can find more information on their website, here.
