UPDATE: Man killed in Dunn County crash identified

UPDATE: Police have now identified the man killed in a Dunn County crash on Wednesday.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, Paul Darnell, 60, of rural Menomonie was killed when he missed a corner and hit a large tree.

It happened just after 10 a.m. Wednesday on the 4500 block of 380th Avenue in the township of Menomonie.

 One person was killed in a crash Wednesday morning in Dunn County.

Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd said the driver missed a corner, left the road and hit a large tree causing the vehicle to flip over. Bygd said speed likely caused the crash.

It happened just after 10 a.m. on the 4500 block of 380th Avenue in the township of Menomonie.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is not being released until family is notified.
