Barron County (WQOW) – During a press conference on Monday afternoon, Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald identified vehicles of interest in the case of missing teen Jayme Closs.
Those vehicles are:
Police could not 100 percent identify the second vehicle but believe it to be either the Acura MDX or Ford Edge.
Fitzgerald said they picked up on the vehicles from surveillance cameras at homes and businesses in the area. Those two vehicles were believed to be near the home at the time of the shooting.
Police do not know the license plates on those vehicles, and are asking for your help. Fitzgerald said if you see vehicles matching the descriptions above, call the tipline (1-855-744-3879) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. He is looking for where and when you saw the vehicles and a license plate if possible.
He said the department has received 1,300 tips and 1,100 of them have already been closed.
Fitzgerald also reminded the public he is looking for 2,000 volunteers Tuesday morning. Those searchers will be led by law enforcement. On Monday, a chopper was flying over the home mapping out search locations, according to Fitzgerald.
Again, if you have any information about this case or the vehicles listed above, call the tipline (1-855-744-3879) or email email@example.com. If you see Jayme, you are asked to immediately call 911.
