Welcome back summer!

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

This week we welcome July back to town. After a hot and humid Sunday, we can expect to see more 80 degree highs through Wednesday.

The last time we had consecutive 80 degree days was in the first week of August, where we went 7 days in a row. If we go 80+ through Wednesday, we’ll get a 5 day streak.

Dew points are another summery topic of conversation as a pool of moisture parks itself over the upper Midwest and breeds dew points in the upper 60’s.

This is in the tropical to oppressive range and you will definitely feel the sweat. We won’t see noticeable relief from the humidity until next weekend.

As far as rain and thunderstorm chances go, there are plenty of opportunities later in the week. Our first chance hits late overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

An early round could play a role in a second round Wednesday afternoon. We are expecting a few more storms late Thursday into Friday and even Saturday, too.
