The great Minnesota ‘sweat-together’ won’t start as sweaty this year

Quiet weather is the theme through the remainder of the week as a very large high pressure system parks itself over the upper Midwest and northern Canada.

Much like Wednesday, Thursday through Saturday will be almost identical. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40’s or low 50’s and climb into the mid 70’s each day. The dew points will be very low through Sunday at least, so very comfortable conditions outdoors.

A mix of sun and clouds will be on deck each day which will make for perfect outdoor activities. Whether be at the cabin or heading to the state fair, you’ll have enjoyable weather overall.

Since the forecast doesn’t call for rain until very late on Sunday, Eau Claire will see an extended dry streak. Since August has already been a dry month, the rain will likely be missed.

Eau Claire is 0.36” shy of it’s average amount of precipitation for the 22nd of August. We’re still ahead on the summer season and the calendar year itself.

Rainfall isn’t the only parameter that is trending below average. Models are hinting that the end of August and beginning of September will see below average temperatures, too. It’s a taste of fall as summer winds down.
