Outlook: A nice start to the week, then humidity and storm chances increase

For Monday, July 22nd

Most agree that Sunday’s weather was beautiful, and it was nicer compared to the recent heat and humidity. I am thrilled to report the comfortable conditions will continue through Wednesday, then it will start to feel more uncomfortable.

A surface high will slowly drift over the Midwest between Monday and Thursday. As a result, the sky will be mostly clear with a low chance of rain. Highs will be near 80 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, and lows will be in the 50s. Wednesday and Thursday will be warmer with highs in the middle 80s and lows around 60 degrees.

Precipitation outlook through Monday, July 29th

The next best chance of rain is Friday, when a warm front and vigorous upper-level wave push over the Midwest. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible. It will be warmer and more humid too.

So far, this weekend appears fairly quiet with a mostly sunny sky on Saturday and a partly cloudy sky on Sunday with a few showers and thunderstorms possible. It will be warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s. Of course, the rain outlook could change over the course of the week. Tune in or check the weather app for the latest!
