Special Weather Statement issued August 6 at 9:52PM EDT by NWS Northern Indiana

At 951 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Morenci to 7 miles northwest of
Defiance to Convoy. Movement was east at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Defiance, Napoleon, Wauseon, Ottawa, Archbold, Bluffton, Swanton,
Paulding, Delta, Columbus Grove, Leipsic, Deshler, Antwerp, West
Unity, Kalida, Stryker, Fayette, Payne, Liberty Center and
Continental.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 75 between mile markers 130 and 138.
Interstate 80 in Ohio between mile markers 20 and 48.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
