Eau Claire (WQOW) – It was a battle between two Chippewa River Baseball League teams on Saturday, the winner advancing to the Wisconsin Baseball Association Championship Game. The Eau Claire Cavaliers came to play, and shut out the Eau Claire Bears 10-0 for a chance at the title. Tom Mewhorter got the Cavs started in the second, when his shot up the middle scored Brady Burzynski for the first run of the game. They’d add three more in the third, including a single from Kole Levkin that brought home Ryan Venne. It was also a big sixth inning for the Cavaliers, when Mewhorter’s grounder to left scored jordan Wilson and Marcus Cline. Cavaliers will play for it all Sunday at noon.
