Eau Claire (WQOW) — The Eau Claire Pizza Hut legion baseball team’s offense was on fire Tuesday night in their home opener, as they dominated at the plate winning 14-1 over La Crosse in seven innings.

Eau Claire North grad Gabe O’Brien got things started with a lead-off home run for Eau Claire in the bottom of the first. Then after the next three runners got on base, Eau Claire Memorial grad Cooper Kapanke plated a pair to make it 3-0. Finally, later in the inning, another Old Abe grad Connor Stoik picked up two more RBI’s to bring the score to 9-0. Eau Claire scored the first nine runs of the game with no outs, and ended with ten runs in the frame.

They’re back in action Thursday night at Carson Park, hosting Chippewa Falls at 1:30 p.m.
