Spring Valley (WQOW) — The Spring Valley baseball added one more accolade to their already good season, topping Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 8-2 Wednesday afternoon at home for a regional title.

The Cardinals trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the second inning, but a Nolan Stans base hit along with a Brayden Wold bases loaded walk gave them a 3-2 advantage. Aaron Borgerding then chipped in with a two-RBI base hit in the fifth to give Spring Valley some insurance.

The Cardinals will take on Thorp in the sectional semifinal Tuesday in Shell Lake. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
