UW-Eau Claire’s Wittig Selected 11th Overall in NWHL Draft

Eau Claire (WQOW) — UW-Eau Claire women’s hockey senior forward Courtney Wittig has been drafted 11th overall by the Metropolitan Riveters of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

Wittig is the first ever division three player to be selected in the NWHL draft, as she was take in the third round by the Riveters. The senior leads the Blugolds with 11 goals so far this season, and is second on the team with 17 points in 12 games so far.

UW-Eau Claire will return to action Saturday, January 5th at Gustavus Adolphus in non-conference. The puck will drop at 2 P.M.
