NWL Thursday: Moondogs 6, Express 5 (F-10 innings)

Eau Claire (WQOW) — Mankato’s Garrett Mitchell scores on a 10th-inning wild pitch delivered by Eau Claire pitcher Isaiah Davis, as the Moondogs edge the Express, 6-5, at Carson Park. 

Eau Claire kept the game close throughout, getting on the board in the second when Mitchell Buban’s base hit brought in Connor Laspina.  Then in the third, the Express tied the game 2-2 on Andrew Pratt’s RBI single that knocked in Spencer Myers.   

Mankato put up three runs in the top of the fifth, but Eau Claire answered in its half of the inning with three runs of its own.  Ryan Bishop singled in Adam LaRock, then Laspina’s single drove in Pratt.  The Express tied it when Nick Brueser scored when Buban bounced into a double-play.

The two teams will meet again at Carson Park, Friday, in a 7:05 P.M. game.
