Eau Claire American Legion baseball drops opener at Great Lakes Regional

Napoleon, Ohio (WQOW) — Eau Claire is limited to just three hits, and drops the opening game at the American Legion Baseball Great Lakes Regional, 4-0, to Midland (MI).

Midland pitcher Garrett Willis goes the distance for the win, striking out nine while walking two.   Eau Claire’s Jaxon Kostka has two of his team’s hits, including a double, with Kas Palzkill adding a single.  Levi Schaller takes the loss for Eau Claire, after allowing three runs on four hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Eau Claire will face Circleville (OH) at 10:00 A.M., central time, Wednesday.  The loser of that game will be eliminated from the tourney.
