NWL Saturday: Express 6 Honkers 4

Eau Claire (WQOW) — The Eau Claire Express won their second straight game Saturday night at Carson Park, topping the Rochester Honkers 6-4.

Scoreless in the first, the Express got on the board after a wild pitch to Andrew Platt, Scott Ogrin scored from third to get on the board. Rochester would answer in the second inning, Ben Sems went deep for a two-run homerun to give them their first lead of the night. After the Express scored off another wild pitch in the fifth, Ogrin hit his second homerun in as many days with a three run shot to right to give Eau Claire back the lead for good.

Reliever Noah Sifrit picked up the win for the Express, only allowing one run in two innings. Colton Hale picked up the save, striking out two in a perfect ninth.

The Express are back on the road tomorrow night in Rochester.
