NWL Wednesday: Moondogs 6, Express 0

Mankato (WQOW) — Mankato snapped Eau Claire’s three-game winning streak with a 6-0 win at Franklin Rogers Park. 

Brett Newburg tossed a complete game shutout, holding the Express offense to just three hits while striking out six.

The Moondogs jumped out to an early lead, scoring four first-inning runs off of Eau Claire starter Trevor Olson.  Zac Wiley delivered a bases-clearing double, then scored on a R.J. Tejeiro single.   Mankato added single runs in the fifth and eighth innings.

The two teams will meet again in Mankato, Friday, at 7:05 P.M.
