NWL Thursday: Rox 3, Express 1

Eau Claire (WQOW) — The bats fall silent once again, as the Express lose their eighth straight game, 3-1 to the Rox.

In a spot start, Rece Dietrich pitched well for Eau Claire. The Barron native struck out two batters and only allowed two earned runs over 6 innings of work, but despite holding the St. Cloud offense at bay, the Express found themselves in a three run hole after seven innings. Spencer Myers continues to produce for Eau Claire. Myers drove in Devon Garcia with an RBI single for the Express’ only run of the night. The Rox pitching staff struck out 9 Eau Claire batters, and only conceded three hits.

Eau Claire’s record now stands at 4-13, with St. Cloud improving to 9-8. The Express will host the St. Cloud Rox again, Friday, in a game scheduled to start at 7:05 P.M.
