NWL Wednesday: Express 4, Larks 1

Eau Claire (WQOW) — For the second straight game, early offense proved to be the difference, as the Express cruise to their third straight win with a 4-1 victory over the Larks.

Eau Claire opened the scoring in the bottom of the second. Tommy Gillman and Garrett Gouldsmith both delivered RBI hits, and Zach Gilles drove in another run on a sac fly, as the Express mounted a 3-0 lead. David LaManna added a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth. Pitcher Justin Slaten held Bismarck in check, striking out 13 and only allowing 1 hit in 8 innings of work.
