Eau Claire (WQOW) – Even though the fire is now out, the Eau Claire Fire Department is still on scene at Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic some 17 hours after the fire was called in on Thursday evening.
This morning, we are getting our first look at the damage left behind.
Eau Claire Fire Department Deputy Chief Allyn Bertrang told News 18 they are still continuing to investigate the cause of the fire and do not have a damage estimate at this point.
Heidi Jarecki, co-owner at Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic, told News 18 further details will be forthcoming soon and they are quickly working to find a new establishment to serve customers.
Jarecki said they have a strong commitment to patients and will have a directive for patients coming soon.
