Eau Claire (WQOW)  – Instead of donuts or Mountain Dew, the radio stations of iHeartMedia are handing out a different product on Tuesday – bras.

Yes, bras.

They are going for a good purpose! The radio stations under the iHeartMedia umbrella collected the bras for women in need in the Chippewa Valley.

The new bras are going to Bolton Refuge House and the used bras are going to King’s Closet in Eau Claire.

Dave DeVille, senior vice president of programming at iHeartMedia Eau Claire, said everyone in the building was excited to participate.

“We reach over a quarter of a million people in Western Wisconsin every day,” DeVille said. “This platform (radio) has the power to do a lot of good and unfortunately, breast cancer has touched almost everyone – whether someone you know is fighting it or you are yourself. This fundraiser just made sense. Thank you to all those who donated!”

The 800 bras will be hanging in front of iHeartMedia at 619 Cameron Street until November.
