38th Never Forgotten Honor Flight headed for D.C.

MOSINEE, Wis. — Local Veterans head to our nation’s capital Monday on the ‘Never Forgotten’ Honor Flight for a jam-packed day visiting memorials honoring them for their service.

Veterans, volunteers, and families arrived at the Central Wisconsin Airport Monday morning at 4:30 a.m., and will return to CWA after 10 p.m.

It’s the organizations 38th flight since the first plane took off in 2010.

Monday’s flight sent four Korean and 107 Vietnam War veterans to Washington, D.C. from central and northern Wisconsin.

They are accompanied by 58 guardians.

Organizers encouraged the public to join them to welcome back the vets in style to celebrate.
