Rice Lake rifle “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin”

Milwaukee (WQOW) – The “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” is a gun made right in our neck of the woods.

After 240,000 votes, the Big Boy-All Weather rifle manufactured by Henry Repeating Arms in Rice Lake was the winner of the contest put on by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group.

The Big Boy All-Weather rifle was first manufactured in 2016. The company describes the rifle as noticeably lighter in heft than our hardened-brass Big Boys with octagon barrels, while offering the same adjustable sights, the same accuracy, the same magazine capacities, the same magazine tube loading feature, the same sling swivel studs, the same rifle-style fore-end cap, and the same non-slip solid rubber recoil pad.

Over 30,000 votes were cast in the last round to determine the ultimate winner. The other finalists were LDV, Inc. and its custom specialty vehicles (Burlington), MEC Outdoors and its 400 Defender Clay Target Machine (Mayville), and Mercury Racing and its 450R Outboard Motor (Fond du Lac).
