Eau Claire (WQOW) – If you are looking for your next book to dive into, the American Association of University Women is hosting a book sale in Eau Claire at the Expo Center.

Officials say the AAUW has been hosting a book sale for over 30 years and all of their proceeds go to scholarships for women returning to school at either CVTC or UW-Eau Claire.

Margot Bouchard, one of the AAUW board members, said they are hoping to raise $7,000-$8,000 for scholarships.

Bouchard said they have about a dozen large tables filled with books and organized by categories.

She said the book sale runs Friday through Sunday with prices varying from $60 to $1.50 with a special bag sale on Sunday.

“First bag is $6, second is $4. The rest are $2 apiece. A lot of people leave with multiple bags. I think the most we’ve ever had was maybe 26,” Bouchard said.

Bouchard said hundreds of people come to the book sale. If you are interested in getting new books you should scope out the selection early.

The hours are:

Fri.  3-8 pm

Sat.  9am-5pm
