Largest bust ever: Dunn Co. authorities confiscate $20K in meth, $10K cash

Dunn County (WQOW) – The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office told News 18 Joseph Lachance, 40, was arrested in the incident. Court records show he faces seven felony charges – including possession with intent to distribute amphetamines, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Court records show he also faces charges of intent to distribute amphetamines in a separate Chippewa County case.


Dunn County (WQOW) – Dunn County authorities are calling it the largest methamphetamine bust in the county’s history.

On September 4, Dunn County authorities and the West Central Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in Menomonie.

During the search, authorities found nearly 1 1/2 pounds of meth, worth an estimated $20,000 and an additional $10,000 in cash.

Sheriff Kevin Bygd said two guns were also found, one of which was stolen.

One person was taken into custody, according to Bygd.
