Father charged in 2-month-old daughter’s death in Jackson County

Jackson County (WQOW) – A western Wisconsin baby died, and her father has been arrested for her death.

Last Wednesday, a woman called 911 from a home on Second Street in the village of Melrose. She told dispatchers she found her daughter dead.

When Jackson County deputies got there, they found the 2-month-old’s body. Law enforcement did an autopsy, plus interviews and evidence collection.

Tuesday the baby’s father, 32-year-old Armas Cravins II, was arrested for second-degree reckless homicide, and three counts of neglecting a child resulting in the child’s death.

Cravins is being held in the Jackson County jail. He doesn’t have any court dates set yet.
