Alcohol possible factor in deadly St. Croix County crash

St. Croix County (WQOW) – One person is dead after a crash in St. Croix County early Friday morning.

According to St. Croix County Sheriff Captain Jeff Klatt, the crash happened at 12:13 a.m. Friday on Highway 63 just north of 130th Avenue in Erin Prairie.

Klatt said Robert Heininger, 25, from New Richmond was south on 63 when he went into the west ditch, hit a driveway, went airborne and rolled multiple times.

His car came to a rest on the passenger side against a tree.

Heininger was pronounced dead at the scene.
