Barron County (WQOW) – We now know it was a 10-month-old baby that died in Barron County on Tuesday.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald provided that update on Wednesday afternoon.

Fitzgerald said his department received a 911 call on Tuesday morning at 4:21 from a home outside of Haugen. The caller said her 10-month-old was not breathing.

Deputies from the sheriff’s department, an ambulance from Lakeview Medical Center, Bear Lake Haugen Fire Department and Life Link Helicopter were all dispatched to the home.

Lifesaving measures were attempted, but the 10-month-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff is not saying how the 10-month-old died. He said the investigation is still active and ongoing.
