Eau Claire County (WQOW) – If you are planning to drive on Interstate 94 in Eau Claire County on Tuesday, you will want to pay extra attention to your speedometer.
That’s because the State Patrol will be checking for speeders for the air.
“We publicly announce many of these enforcement efforts to reinforce that our goal is voluntary compliance with traffic laws,” said Lieutenant Les Mlsna with the State Patrol’s Northwest Region Post in Eau Claire. “Officers will be watching for speeding, tailgating or other dangerous driving behaviors that risk the safety of all travelers.”
The State Patrol did not specify what times they will be using the aerial enforcement.
The State Patrol partook in the same type of enforcement last month in Chippewa County. On that day they pulled over 30 drivers for speeding or following too closely.
