Eau Claire (WQOW) – Feed My People Food Bank is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser of the year.

Friday, another bowl painting event was held, this time at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center.

Members and their grandchildren painted bowls together for Feed My People’s upcoming Empty Bowls fundraiser in March.

Pantry officials said the goal is to have 2,000 bowls ready by then.

“We all just volunteer and we’ve all had businesses of our own, so we know what it’s like. Now it’s time to give back to our community and this is a great organization,” said Jan Balow, a volunteer with Feed My People.

Balow expects 80 to 100 bowls were painted during the session.

Officials say they may have more bowl painting parties. You can contact Feed My People here.
