International Left-handers Day: Fun facts

(WQOW) – Only about 11 percent of the world’s population is left-handed according to LiveScience.com, but that does not stop them from celebrating on International Left-handers Day.

In fact, if you are left-handed, you are celebrating with some elite company. Time Magazine reports four of the past six presidents were left-handed (Obama, Clinton, HW Bush, Reagan).

Other celebrities to be left-handed dominant include Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates.

According to nationaldaycalendar.com, this ‘holiday’ day was established in 1992 in the United Kingdom.
